Think about the materials, transportation and hand labor that a blouse needs to be made and available at the shop. Isn’t it insane that we can get it for this price? Fast fashion companies as @primark can always do it better, that’s true, but WE as consumers can always do it better and FASTER 💨 use you super consumer powers:
1) slow down baby. Slowing down our fashion consumption is the faster way to help, save time and money and send a straight message to #fastfashion movement, “thank you, I already have enough”. Have a look in your closet. Do you really need to buy something new this month?
2) PLEASE DON’T walk into fast fashion shops. Look, it’s so hard to resist the low prices and the good looking pieces they present in front of you that you should seriously consider to stop going there till the moment you master conscious consumption. I actually used to call this experience “the final exam” for my style coaching clients. If you go into a fast fashion shop and buy nothing you can say “I’m the master of my personal style”. Link bio to book your on-line style coaching.
3) Second hand first, yes! If you realized, after a while, that you need to source something, first consider second hand markets for everything, from clothing to accessories to furniture. We humans have accumulated so much stuff in the last few decades that secondhand markets are a really good option for buying and selling! Try them!
